# Adapters for 2.5mm to 3.5mm for HD4XX

I have Hifiman 4XXs with the 2.5mm cable ends. As i already have other headphones with 3.5mm cables (balanced,nicer wire, and 4.4mm penticon), i need some cable tip adapters that will fit the 4XX’s. They need to be 3.5MM in and 2.5mm out. i see some Didi cables but i can’t even guess that they will fit the slightly recessed openings on my Hifiman(men?).

Can someone recommend ones that will fit for sure. I would rather not end up with several trial runs trying to get the right ones.

I would suggest investing in the Hart Audio cable system. Trust me, you won’t regret it.

Hi JROC, I already have various cables to use with 3.5 mm tips, so I want to use them in their variants…braided cloth cable with XLR input, braided clear insulator, 4.4 Pentacon, and a clear insulator silver coated cable with XLR. Hence, i can use what i have in variation. The HD4XXs are early models with 2.5mm inputs and my other headphones are 3.5mm.
