I back the Clear as well as the Elear and the HFM Sundara, The latter is the best value but only if you have the proper amp. They don’t like lamps (Focals are not that fond of them either), you need an amplifier with low output impedance, ideally below 10 ohms. So if you have to buy an amp then the value is not so impressive.
I know the Elear is ancient at almost 4 years old but man is it ever handsome lol. Seriously, use the Elear with True-Fi and instantly hear them become a reference class set. Really. I have both the Elear and the Clear but the Clear does not respond to DSP EQ with the same effectiveness. Not sure why but anyway they sound good as they are. I enjoy them a great deal but when I know I’m settling down for a long session I prefer the Elear. It’s not the fit since both are built the same, it’s the mids. They become a little fatiguing after an hour or so but the Elear I can wear 12 hours on end if I feel like it. They pack a heck of a slam but it’s well under control and never ventures into the low mids, the transition is smooth as silk. The high mids are somewhat recessed, that’s likely the reason why they don’t cause any fatigue.
