It’s not a review, but I was able to exercise enough self-restraint to hold off on unboxing my newly arrived Campfire Andromeda’s until I had a moment to video the experience. I’m thinking of getting into doing some YouTube videos and figured I’d dip my toe in with this unboxing video (no narration).
I already know that I’ll need to work on my lighting setup and get closer in on the IEMs/headphones at shooting time so I don’t have to crop in post. Any and all additional suggestions for improvement are very welcome, no need to be gentle!
For my feeling… your backgeound music is a touch high in volume compared to the rare noises the unpacking made.
You could get another background for the things you are going to present. Maybe grey. Black items on black background - it is tricky, because:
A) it’s hard for your camera to fokus without contrast detaction (fokus manually to overcome this)
and
B) the viewers eyes have a hard time to follow a dark or even black item on black background (very bright as background is also not ideal)
Wild patterns in backgrounds take away attention also
C) automatic brightness adjustment will try to make your black background a standard grey. At least if the background fills more of the frame.
Set your brightness manually.
Watch out for reflections on shiny surfaces
You can use a DIY diffusor for softer light and a reflector for less shadows
