I chose the Ether C over the Flow version because in the limited times that I have heard a Flow they seem warmer and more intimate. I was looking for a closed planar that was analytical but smooth and detailed; not shouty or overly bassy or cramped soundstage. The Ether CX is more expensive then the deal I found on eBay and the Ether C and CX are basically the same with a few minor tweaks.
