nice, calm edit on the pictures and I do enjoy your bright room too!! Have you used a B1 out of a big softbox? very good vibes floating over.
You had an eye for the details in the background … placing the ifi BL was obviously not by chance on the first picture… the framing of the elegia by the window in the second pic … I appreciate your extra work, Marcello
stop showing off these beautiful stands, before I have mine(ordered this morning). Otherwise all think I got them of your both recommendations

Thank you @MartinTransporter yes you got it I used a couple B1’s for this setup, one as a fill and one as a kicker.

planned to get the “pro” model with height adjustment and had it forever on my wishlist at Thomann
however, after I saw the Elegia on yours hanging - it is absolutely high enough in the “standard” model, isn´t it?!

Yup! Standard model and looks amazing in black with the Elegia, the other wood choice I got because my desk is bamboo so the color somewhat matches the lighter wood with a subtle contrast, some of the darker woods they have are incredible as well, definitely worth the money.

Oh yeah that one is beautiful!

my desk is also bamboo!! CRAZY!!
the sideboard with the audio stuff is white though and I still have the bamboo piece to get fitted in size for the sideboard - was not sure - the makassar and the bamboo could get a problem with matching

It could be a good contrast too though, they have so many options it took me several days to choose!!! Hahaha

I´m with you - so many options and yes maybe it´s a good contrast and matches
I wanted the stand to be a bit darker, to match the RME ADI 2 + THX stack with most lights of in the evening and not to bright cause the board it stands on is already quite bright
will take a few pics with the stand on the white sideboard without the bamboo piece on the board and with the board after I had the time and motivation to cut it
maybe we should move this part of the conversation to another thread?

Hahah it’s all good! I think maybe a slight contrast between the light and dark would help in your situation.

on the sideboard with the DAC/AMPs are the two sealed wooden boxes, we keep the ashes of our former dogs in.
the colour of the wood could be close to the Makassar … so it´s another thing I considered

Superb photos of superb headphones, each featuring equally stunning but strikingly exquisite aesthetics. I can’t help but preferring the Elegia’s timeless “Focalian” design, if forced to choose one based on looks. Impeccable tone-matching of solid, heavy-looking metal milled to perfection makes for a stately, muscular yet exquisite objet d’art with function, French to the bone. Excellent photography accentuates the contrast with the audacious design of the AEON2C facing the Focal, like a ram eager to butt heads with a buck. Equally potent. Bring it on!
But that very contrast created by the modern silhouette of the AEON2C is almost as equally easy on the eye of the collector in me and would be a perfect crossover between my collection’s “Hifiman-class” ultra-modern designs named so because HFM has more contraption-style models than any other manufacturer, and “Focal-class”, the more classic/conservative style headphones of which Focal is the very embodiment. Oddly enough many Hifiman models are “Focal-class” but the opposite is not true. The desk photo captures the very spirit of modern vs classic.
Now don’t tell me you’re not a professional photographer because I won’t believe you

I definitely agree that Focal just makes stunningly beautiful headphones!
I really appreciate the looks and design of the AEON2C as well, the red finish especially is beautiful to look at, and changes depending light.
Thank you it was really fun photographing them both!
