The HD600, HD650 and Sundara are the main contenders in this price range.

HifiMan has had quality/reliability issues so some people do not recommend the Sundaras for that reason. The Sennheisers are solid and reliable.

I like to just pick up my headphone and listen. I’m not after perfection or to have a collection of headphones for different moods or types of music. I listen to mostly classical, rock and various electronic. Currently I have the K702 which meets the goals of comfort (I wear glasses) and minimizing the “3 blob” effect. Detail is fine.
