I am posting this as a follow up to the discussion recently had in [Best Planar and Dynamic combo under $6000?](https://forum.headphones.com/t/best-planar-and-dynamic-combo-under-6000/11128). I am looking to purchase a new solid state or hybrid amp as an upgrade to my THX 789. I have BF2 DAC and I use the Arya and HD6xx. I want something versatile enough for me to expand my can collection in the future without having glaring synergistic conflicts. My max budget is 2000 USD. Naturally, I have looked at things like the Burson Soloist 3XP, Headamp GS-X mini, iFi Pro iCAN, Phonitor E etc. The 3XP grabs my attention the most because of its palatable price and stellar reviews, but I am unsure as to how it might synergize with my setup. Does anyone had other amp recommendations between 500 and 2000 for a wide range of cans that is a clear step up from a 789?
