Thank you very much, your help is highly appreciated! I’ll be eager to try it out when I get the chance. May I ask you a couple of questions?

1. Why was the JM-1 with Harman OE filters choosed as the reference/target?
2. Is there any chance you could share the .CSV file of Resolve’s measurement so I could average it with Crinacle’s measurement for further experimentation? Please excuse me if this is inconsiderate for me to ask.

I’ve achieved great results when EQ-ing to WIP DF HRTF reference curve with Harman 2024 In-Ear filters via your wonderful web tool. I think it’s the closest I got to the sound that I find satisfactory ever since I went into this audiophilia rabbit hole… Thank you for making this possible!

Anybody try Morphit? [ToneBoosters | Audio Plug-ins | Morphit](https://www.toneboosters.com/tb_morphit_v1.html)
IIRC it could EQ one headphone to emulate the sound of another. I did try a demo ages ago, but can’t remember how effective it was

I’ve never heard of this product, but I have heard of ToneBoosters as a company. It might be worth the 39 euro just to play around with. This is a bit concerning though: “in contrast to other correction tools, Morphit corrects for magnitude _and phase_ of your cans.” In a minimum phase system like headphones, you are already correcting magnitude and phase simultaneously just by using simple minimum phase PEQ filters.

@listener how much does this EQ deviate from Harman? or can you provide one EQ to Harman if this is not?

Hi @listener,

_I’m new here. I was going to post the below as a separate topic in the help category but I’m not sure what the restrictions are for new users. I can’t currently create a topic, and this thread and your expertise could certainly help me._

I have just received the Qudelix 5K. Super excited for this. My primary reason for purchasing this is for the independent channel parametric EQ.
The reason is, I have a significant hearing loss and have been wearing hearing aids for about a year now. I don’t wear them when using headphones. Because of this, I’d like to correct each channel to deal with this loss.

 ![image](https://us1.discourse-cdn.com/flex016/uploads/headphones/original/3X/2/3/23a37e52d418b0b8174d7b514f791d5ef806a5b2.jpeg)

Now, for my problem. I mostly have my head around the EQ settings of the 5K, and I’ve started with the preset for my ATH-A900X.

```auto
CH: 0
TYPE: PEQ
Preamp: -6.3 dB
Filter 1: ON LS Fc 105 Hz Gain 8.1 dB Q 0.700
Filter 2: ON PK Fc 88 Hz Gain -7.4 dB Q 0.440
Filter 3: ON PK Fc 3045 Hz Gain 5.9 dB Q 1.410
Filter 4: ON PK Fc 8839 Hz Gain 6.3 dB Q 2.860
Filter 5: ON PK Fc 1118 Hz Gain -2.2 dB Q 0.760
Filter 6: ON HS Fc 10000 Hz Gain -2.2 dB Q 0.700
Filter 7: ON PK Fc 6036 Hz Gain -2.4 dB Q 6.000
Filter 8: ON PK Fc 291 Hz Gain 1.7 dB Q 3.230
Filter 9: ON PK Fc 461 Hz Gain -0.7 dB Q 1.950
Filter 10: ON PK Fc 167 Hz Gain -0.7 dB Q 1.960
CH: 1
TYPE: PEQ
Preamp: -6.3 dB
Filter 1: ON LS Fc 105 Hz Gain 8.1 dB Q 0.700
Filter 2: ON PK Fc 88 Hz Gain -7.4 dB Q 0.440
Filter 3: ON PK Fc 3045 Hz Gain 5.9 dB Q 1.410
Filter 4: ON PK Fc 8839 Hz Gain 6.3 dB Q 2.860
Filter 5: ON PK Fc 1118 Hz Gain -2.2 dB Q 0.760
Filter 6: ON HS Fc 10000 Hz Gain -2.2 dB Q 0.700
Filter 7: ON PK Fc 6036 Hz Gain -2.4 dB Q 6.000
Filter 8: ON PK Fc 291 Hz Gain 1.7 dB Q 3.230
Filter 9: ON PK Fc 461 Hz Gain -0.7 dB Q 1.950
Filter 10: ON PK Fc 167 Hz Gain -0.7 dB Q 1.960
```

What I’m not entirely sure how to do is, correct the hearing loss and then apply my preferred settings.
If anyone can share any insight/advice/links etc. it would really be appreciated.

Thanks,
Kim

Hi, Kim. Have you come up with hearing loss correction EQ already, or do you need help with that too?

If the latter is the case, I’m afraid I’m not confident enough in my ability to aid with that. But when it comes to integrating hearing loss correction with headphone correction and/or preference adjustments I could help.

There’s at least two solutions. First would be to simply add the EQ filters for hearing loss correction and for headphone correction to the same preset.

Second, which is a bit more elegant, is to do the same thing via online EQ tool (Squig), apply the resulting filters to a flat graph and save the resulting curve. It will represent the effect of hearing loss and headphone corrections combined. Then EQ flat graph to that curve. Use resulting filters that either you (if you do the previous step manually) or Auto EQ tool come up with as the final EQ settings. Do this for both channels.

I could do that for you.

Hope this is at least somewhat intelligible.

Hi Jean-Paul,

Thanks for the reply.

I hadn’t come up with a hearing correction EQ.
But I messed around this morning, and a very crude version that is essentially the inverse of my audiogram would be something like this…

```auto
CH: 0
TYPE: PEQ
Preamp: 0.0 dB
Filter 1: OFF PK Fc 31 Hz Gain 0.0 dB Q 1.414
Filter 2: OFF PK Fc 63 Hz Gain 0.0 dB Q 1.414
Filter 3: OFF PK Fc 125 Hz Gain 0.0 dB Q 1.414
Filter 4: ON PK Fc 250 Hz Gain 5.0 dB Q 1.414
Filter 5: ON PK Fc 500 Hz Gain 5.5 dB Q 1.414
Filter 6: ON PK Fc 1000 Hz Gain 4.0 dB Q 1.414
Filter 7: ON PK Fc 2000 Hz Gain 4.5 dB Q 1.414
Filter 8: ON PK Fc 4000 Hz Gain 5.5 dB Q 1.414
Filter 9: ON PK Fc 8000 Hz Gain 5.0 dB Q 1.414
Filter 10: OFF PK Fc 16000 Hz Gain 0.0 dB Q 1.414
CH: 1
TYPE: PEQ
Preamp: 0.0 dB
Filter 1: OFF PK Fc 31 Hz Gain 0.0 dB Q 1.414
Filter 2: OFF PK Fc 63 Hz Gain 0.0 dB Q 1.414
Filter 3: OFF PK Fc 125 Hz Gain 0.0 dB Q 1.414
Filter 4: ON PK Fc 250 Hz Gain 1.5 dB Q 1.414
Filter 5: ON PK Fc 500 Hz Gain 1.5 dB Q 1.414
Filter 6: ON PK Fc 1000 Hz Gain 1.0 dB Q 1.414
Filter 7: ON PK Fc 2000 Hz Gain 4.5 dB Q 1.414
Filter 8: ON PK Fc 4000 Hz Gain 7.0 dB Q 1.414
Filter 9: ON PK Fc 8000 Hz Gain 4.0 dB Q 1.414
Filter 10: OFF PK Fc 16000 Hz Gain 0.0 dB Q 1.414
```

I’m keen to learn how to combine this (or subsequent versions) with whatever headphone I’m using. Currently the 900X.
I like your idea for the more elegant approach, as people more knowledgeable than me have already come up with really good headphone specific starting points.

Thanks again.

Don’t mention it, I’ll be glad if I’ll be able to help.

I’ll try to make a preset for you per the second approach tomorrow. I’ll also make a screen capture video of the process if I’m able to (I only have a smartphone with very limited storage space and the recording may end up being too much).

Hello! I’m sorry for taking so long and for somewhat disappointing news. At least in your case it would actually be better to simply add up the filters from both HP correction and hearing loss correction presets. It will ultimately be more elegant solution here, with less filters with lower Q-factor needed in the end (generally, as a rule of thumb, you want to use as few filters with as wide bandwidth as possible, to my understanding).

This is partially due to my methodology being underdeveloped and quite unrefined (mostly that), partially due to the particularities of the headphone in question.

Since already made the presets, though, I’ll share them anyway fo you to try if you’d like to.

I would super appreciate it ( @listener ) if you could give me an EQ or ones I could upload to squiglink for the Focal Clear with Dekoni Velour pads from Resolves measurements taken awhile back
For the Harman 2018 target please

Thanks so much in advance !

Hey @listener Thanks for taking time to put all these out there. I thought I’d request the cans and IEMs I’ve found to be difficult to EQ 🙂 Feel free to do as many or as few as you’d like.

Simgot Supermix 4 - Harman already obviously but I have had zero success in taking anything off the treble, brightness and manual peaks while maintaining any sort of balance after.

Simgot EW300 - The pink filter FR is awfully close to some pretty outstanding IEMs, always looking for fresh EQ takes to work with on these.

Crinacle Zero Reds, if you haven’t already

And the real challenge being the EMU Teaks. If you can find enough measurements and patience to bend these into Harman-esque shape while maintaining any of the low end value, providing a band or even two band adjustment combination for its treble issues, you’d be doing what oratory couldn’t with them.

Hi Listener! I’m very pleasantly impressed by the equalization result for the HD700 and HD800S. Please, if possible, when you will be able to do the same for the Oppo PM3 and Hifiman HE4XX. Thanks! Happy Holidays!

Thank you for doing all these, @listener . I love how it sounds on my HD6XX and Hexa.
If you don’t mind me requesting for other IEMs, few free to do as few as you’d like:

Moondrop Blessing 2 (non-Dusk version), Tanchjim ONE (DSP) and KZ ZSN Pro.
Happy holidays!

Re-request

If @listener or someone else here ( @Resolve ) with a rig can measure the Focal Clear Og with Dekoni velour pads and provide a Squiglink I would super appreciate it.

I would pay for the service of course.

I could send my headphones if needed as well with the Dekoni pads.

Thanks in advance.

I’m new to EQ, how does this change the sound of the HE1000 Stealth headphones?

Forget to respond here :P. As with the Senn HD660s you provided, now Shure sound much more refined. Thanks for your efforts!

Thanks a lot. This is the first eq profile out of all that I tried previously that makes Azurys sound even better and improves its timbres.
