One small footnote I’ll add to the above. I recently purchased a new pair of Sennheiser HD560S headphones. And as NickZ mentioned in the official HD560S thread, it appears that there may have been some tweaks to this headphone, after many of the initial reviews and measurements were made. So 560S’s made after 2022 could have a somewhat darker tilt and treble.
This plot by DIY Audio Heaven appears to show the difference between the pre and post 2022 versions of the 560S. For the record, the assessement I originally made above was based on the pre-2022 measurements.
I decided to give the HD560S a try after reading the above btw, and after some vendors essentially cut the MSRP in half.
