Thyce

I am a music nut. I used to attend the symphony, opera, and most kinds of concerts. I always wore earplugs to avoid any hearing loss or tinnitus because I never wanted to be without music. But in 2012 I suffered a brain injury that left me with bad tinnitus and a constant headache that became debilitating when I tried to listen to music. I have tried many things but stumbled upon someone that told me that they also had a similar brain injury but eventually found they could listen to music if there wasn’t any distortion. I followed his suggestion to visit my local hi-fi stores and ask to demo the music source, components, and headphones with the least distortion (time, frequency, harmonic, compression, clipping, temporal, etc). He was right! But I also came to realize that the level of performance required was almost always very expensive. I am on a mission to find music that is the least distorted and a DAC, amp, and headphones that can reproduce that music with the greatest fidelity. I’m taking it one song at a time.
