Right now I’m mainly considering the iLoud MTM MK2. They’re small enough and I want to try the built-in room correction feature. Other than this pair, the only other good options I know of are common recommendations like the AudioEngine A2+.

I bought the IK MTM Mk2’s a few months ago and have been very happy with them. I’m using a Universal Volt as an audio interface. I also have their subwoofer which is great but isn’t a total need unless you are making music.

I had the Audioengine 2+ for many years, and recently upgraded to Adam D3V, after checking out a few other desktop speakers. I liked the size, the linearity, tone, bass, and the switch on the front. It was also about 2/3 rd the price of the i Loud in Australia.
The D3V is on my short list. It has really good reviews. And yes, Erins Audio Corner is one of the best audio science sources online. He measures everything.
