I think you may have inspired me to listen to some KINKS albums this long weekend. Everybody’s in Show Biz, Lola vs Powerman and the Moneygoround, Muswell Hillbillies, Arthur - or the Decline and Fall of the British Empire.
It’s always good to listen to Kinks albums. Especially Muswell Hillbillies.
Maybe …but I’m not so sure
Once upon a time each side was its own unit. Then the sides went away but there was still an order. And then there was a a very clever algorithm that served me what it thought I wanted but felt like a radio with a skip button. I recently wandered into Roon and started listening to whole albums again, beginning to end. There’s something to be said for it, at least every now and again
I prefer listening to the full album, ideally in one uninterrupted sitting. This especially holds true if it’s a concept album.
Just loved falling asleep to that.
