IMO the OG Bathys sounds very good – the problem is that the noise cancelling is quite poor compared to the competition. It seems to be my fate in life to sit in row 30 when I fly, and the Bathys doesn’t cut the engine noise enough to make me want to take them on the trip. I know the B&W PX8 gets a lot of hate for its ragged FR curve, but its ANC wipes the floor with the Bathys.I’d much rather have the Bathys with better ANC, but right now, on a plane, the PX8 is a better choice.
