Hifiman HE6Se V2

Just sayin for any new owner that might stumble upon this- an extremely cheap n easy way to make the headband a lot more comfortable is to get any of those universal headband-wraps that you can find all over the place (mine is the fabric one- not sure how to describe it, but it looks like scarf-material lol; I don’t think the specific type matters, just as long as it has space and/or can stretch), then get a 6XX headband n stick it inside.

I always used the covering for the similarly (un-)comfortable M1060C’s prior to getting the V2’s recently, but I used to just stuff in pillow “fluff" n a way that distributes the weight more evenly (actually similar to the 6XX headband’s design lol), but for whatever reason that wasn’t too effective with these (maybe softer fluff woulda still worked, but-) regardless, the 6XX headband has been surprisingly effective for me at least. Earlier I actually thought that I might’ve had the clamp force offsetting the pressure on top due to how unexpectedly effective it was, buuut nope, it was 100% the 6XX headband.

And that actually reminds me of something else that you could also maybe do where that^ actually IS what happens (clamp offsetting top-pressure), but this one has some more possible downsides n isn’t so cheap ($40), and that’s getting the Dekoni LCD suede pads. Their increased size makes them like big ear pillows, thereby increasing “clamp", but not in an uncomfortable way. The potential downsides are firstly maybe the effect on its sound (I’ve only had the V2’s for a week, so I still need to get its regular sound ingrained in my head before I can say if I personally think that the Dekoni pads have any negative ((or positive)) effect). And then the other potential downside is that I’m not sure of how easy it’d be to get the Hifiman mounting rings attached, because I think they’d need to go onto just the dust filter itself, and I don’t know how feasible that is, so they might only be able to attach to the V2’s with double sided tape, which of course would kinda suck, particularly with their final downside- that they’re a bit oversized on the earcups, so without a way to firmly mount them, they can be pretty easy to knock off (although maybe a better tape/adhesive exists- I dunno?).

OKAYYYYY, essay over. Idk how many people even ever look at the newest replies on here nowadays, but whatever lol- if this helps just a single person at all 5yrs from now, then *I* say yay

So, I need to put on a headband before Morticia treats my headache?

Anyone tried this?

Not a chance. Single sided, thinner membrane, totally different internal construction, and said to be a poor fit for larger ears.

Suspension strap from ebay is pretty good. Previous versions had a really long strap which had to be shortened. No need for that anymore.
