Thank you for your response. After doing further research, I’ve decided on either the NAD C 368 or, if I want to splurge a bit, the new NAD C 399. Both should work well with the Lintons and will facilitate streaming. Again, thanks.
I’ve had several NAD products in the past, and have been quite pleased with them. NAD is known for providing excellent quality without unnecessary frills. I’m certain you will be happy with your selection.
NAD is nice, that’s the first integrated amp I purchased for my stereo system. I just recently had a chance to listen to the M33 and the smaller one too, I forget what number Mxx and I was honestly shocked that there class D amp was pretty darn good and did not have that typical class D sound.
I got the 326BEE and its phenomenal. Nothing crazy with it, but quality transformer and parts it sounds really nice for A/B. Plenty of power as well even with 50 watts on 8 ohm medium sensitive speakers
I would recommend a Heed Elixir or Obelisk SI iii. The specs may not show lots of power but they are definitely musical and I would think would compliment the Lintons well. If you’re looking for something a bit more energetic, maybe a Naim 5si. I would imagine Exposure or Roksan would fit the bill as well.
You can’t go wrong with a NAD, I have an older 356BEE in another system but I would pick one of the ones mentioned above over it.
Happy listening
I got a 326BEE, my first integrated amp and it’s been great. Currently have settled down with older parasound units, 98-04. I have the hca-1000, 1200 mk II, and a pair of 1500’s which I run in bi-amp mono. Edit: I have also heard the hca-2200 and 3500, 3500 being flagship, but honestly feel the 1500 is better. If you like warm/dark sounding amps it’s basically the best price to performance. 1000 being the darkest and as you go up the range they get cooler or more neutral and I for one prefer dark/warm amps
Speakers wise I got a full house probably 3 of them lol. Elac Adante’s are my main stereo towers. Elac Uni-Fi 2.0 for my home theater, 5 ch. Jamo C97 mk II and S809s. JBL A170 and A190. Also have the pioneer tower speakers made by Andrew Jones, and got those cheap Sony’s that are bookshelves. Found those at a thrift shop for 20.
Got way too much crap atm
My Cayin tube amp is en route and I am excited about that, love stereo tube amps and it will be first decent one as well and pure tube.
One other vote for Sonus faber speakers, I really love the Nova series as well!
Anyone up for building the famous SEAS A26 (dynaudio A25 spiritual clone, in DIY form)…. I’m considering it!
I think this is the one speaker book I recall. My Rec III’s have the dome tweeter like on page 94 instead of their original tweeters on one leg.
There was another, more advanced one I can’t find which had bigger enclosures, and went deep into the Butterworth equations to solve multiple woofer systems. My friend used it to build BMF-1, his name for the speaker he used for his hand-made theater organ / early synth.
This book looks closer to the more advanced one - at least it goes into solving bass reflex

Iver heard the version made by Omega speakers and loved it.
This kit is legit! I would be all over it. Its an inexpensive way in to the world of high efficiency speakers and the Danish sound.
I jus bought a set of JBL 4349s. Really looking forward to unboxing soon.
I also have the Ojas Arthouse bookshelf kit ready to be assembled.
The JBLs are unreal. The Ojas art a DIY/entry point with real promise.
Which amp are you using to drive your 4349’s
I’ve given them some time with my Bryce monos and Nautilus so far. Both have been pretty fantastic.
They look like nice speakers. I haven’t listened to JBL recently. I know their classic speakers. They have some nice big horns.
As a long time Klipsch user/Cornscala builder. They offer a better level of engineering and drivers right from the start.
My only grip is the binding posts which I may swap out.

These are all sort of entry level speakers. Some name brands, and most I would assume are OK for the price, but hardly the “best” in 2023.
But in any case, it’s necessary to define your use case, budget and room before figuring out what’s “right”.
For me at home, it depends on what my wife will tolerate in the living room, not something most reviews would be able to predict. Fortunately she likes the look of Harbeth, so the 40.3 is on the short list. And she likes the sound of my EgglestonWorks Nico Evo in the office, so maybe I can get the Kiva. She does not like the shape of Vandersteen 4, and she thinks the big Klipsch horns are too large.
There are various possibilities for dedicated speakers for your 2-channel stereo listening, depending on your tastes and setup.
Focal Aria 936: These floor-standing speakers have a 3-way design with two 6.5-inch woofers, a 6.5-inch midrange driver, and a 1-inch aluminum/magnesium inverted dome tweeter. The Focal Aria 936 has clarity and a detailed sound.
Dynaudio Contour 60: These floor-standing speakers have a 3-way design with two 9-inch woofers, a 6-inch midrange driver, and a 1.1-inch soft dome tweeter. The Dynaudio Contour 60 has a natural and balanced sound.
Some people adore the Zu Audio speakers’ unique sound character while others don’t. Before purchasing speakers, listening to them is always a good idea.
Also, you can read some internet reviews or go to other forums and ask people’s opinions. There are several websites where you may read articles on audio equipment and speakers or find a lot of information about specific types of speakers.
