Price of headphones

I think I remember the HD800 being $1000->$1100 on release in 2009 but could be mis-remembering (or perhaps saw them selling for less at another time)?
The 660s can hardly be compared with the HD800 as many do still prefer the HD600/650. With the 600/650, some keep them for certain music even if they own the HD800.

When you can buy the HD58X for $150 or the HD6XX for $199?..this is all part of the point I was trying to make but it can come off as confusing I suppose.

Wow! It’s been that long since HD 800s came out. The older I get the faster the calendar pages turn. I tell my wife that we bought our refrigerator a couples of years ago. She says honey we’ve had that over 5 yrs now. More reason to enjoy every moment. As George Harrison said " Be here now "

I’m sure it was tongue in cheek. He had the upper hand there. But they say that puns will never last, but if I can fit one in, I’ll sneaker in. I let him get away with that. I can be a heel. Maybe we should canvas the group on this subject.

After searching the phrase, I don’t think there’s much doubt that you hit the nail with your query

ā€œBe here nowā€ may have been popularized by Harrison but here’s a little trivia from the late 60s into the. early 70s.

Richard Alpert aka Baba Ram Dass (or just ā€œRam Dassā€) wrote a book in the early 70s with the title…Be Here Now.

I’d take a wild guess it’s an old Zen/Buddhist phrase that they both swiped but Harrison likely lifted it from Alpert (or perhaps the Beatles TM guru; the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi)…point being?
Famous people make less famous people’s words/sayings more famous, often without credit

I still have my copy. It’s pretty roughed up. I loved this book so much that I still have it from over 50 years ago,
