The config I have in mind is simple: the drives are WD Red WD40xxxx (I kid you not, it’s really WD40) with NASware 3.0 firmware which, according to Western Digital, can readily be configured as RAID in a desktop environment. I want everything tucked in one box, if that’s feasible.
