For the clear? Yeah, def. And it’s a little warmer which will pair with the clear nicely. Imo.
For the HE6SE V2.
The clear won’t have any issue with my current setup. The link for the open box Clear’s seems to show it’s out of stock at the moment.
The advantage of testing a topping amp is I can grab it on Amazon and return within 30days if it doesn’t work out. Schiit’s return policy is horrendous.
I’m not suggesting topping because of measurements, it’s due to easy of purchase and return if it doesn’t work out.
I do not interpret other’s comments above the same way.
I wouldn’t use the A3 for the he6se. It needs power! Lots of power haha. Personally, probably a speaker type of amp. I have a tt2 and wouldn’t really feel comfortable driving the he6se. And then you’re also limited on your other amps that you could use with the he6. I’d pass on it. I did. They almost got me
The A3 that was listed wasn’t from schiit, it’s from a fellow forum member. Legit seller so no worries. He reviewed it and is selling it.
I pass on any and all HiFiMan products. Fool me once shame on you. Fool me twice shame on me.
“The reliability issues with the HE-560 are over.” …Ha ha ha…
I will confess. I added to cart yesterday, then reconsidered.
Ah ok,
Yea, I have them on the way and want to hear them with enough juice to see how they sound. I’m looking for something I can get on Amazon in the short term to test them with. The only amps I can find that have possibly enough power on Amazon are the Topping A50s or the A30 pro, both around 3 watts at 50 ohms from my understanding. I’m not saying these are the best amps for this headphone, I’m saying they at least have enough power to make it work and I can use it to test them for 30 days without having to commit or loose a bunch of money on a return.
I’d be worried a driver would take a shit. Then be like, shit. I should saved my money and bought a clear and a piece of schiit.
Maybe in terms of powering them to sufficient volume, will have a problem in how it will sound bad.
You can probably power it from the preamp out of the back?
Thats I think double the power of the SE out
You too?
He about got us…Dang Fang!
The best option for all day comfort is………studio monitors.
Although I don’t have any recommendation on where to buy, actually I do but don’t want to give an opportunity to discuss return policy
Food for thought, of you are going to base these decisions on return policy, perhaps you are missing the big picture on the best options available. Prices increase for everyone if we use generous return policies as demo policies. Which they are not…
If you have the money to play in the pool, buy the stuff that helps you float not sink. You can find someone to sell it to, and if it costs you a couple of bucks consider it a rental fee for trying in your home.
Yeah, but I’ve heard others say they were a little underwhelmed about using that for the Sus, so I thought it would be close with the he6. Oh well. If I buy a hifiman it’ll be a Sus down the road.
Interdependence. Unintended/ignored consequences.
Power and pairing is important and different. Just because a A90 would power a HD800S, I would never recommend that pairing.
You could be getting a amp with enough power but it’s not doing the headphones justice. For example, I wouldn’t use my tt2 with my HD800S. Plenty of power but bad pairing.
Are you insinuating that there is synergy? You subjectivist scum
The Schiit Magnius looks like it has the most power for the price out of the balanced port.
It seems like everyone on here is very fond of Schiit’s products, what’s the thoughts on the Magnius?
I think the Magnius is pretty garbage imo ymmv
I prefer Vali 2+, Asgard 3, Jot 2 SE out, and Jot 2 XLR out.
The Magnius seems to be Schiit’s effort to compete with Topping and THX. Measurements.
