Changing an open front volume headphone to a sealed front volume headphone isn’t a pad roll, it’s creating a different headphone.
It would be like drilling holes in the side of a sealed front volume headphone (say Sundara) to create vents. I don’t think that would end well.
Still, all that matters is that people are happy with their listening.
