I jumped on the preorder Friday. Looking forward to comparing it with my Abyss 1266 TC and LCD4. I am hoping it sounds like n Utopia with deeper bass extesion as some have mentioned. I sold my Utopias to fund the TC. I miss them. Hopefully the HEDD fills the hole.

I think the biggest possible game changer is the price to performance ratio the Heddphone offers. Reviews are really good on this guy right now. I hope this headphone shakes the market a bit.
Let’s face it 4 to 5 grand for a headphone is pretty steep.

We heard from HEDD this morning that it could be as early as a week after the initial batch. Most of the next batch has been sold through.
Once the units actually start shipping we will have a better idea on the turn around times for follow-up inventory.

Thank you for the welcome Paul…I am really excited for the HEDDphone. I really love the LCD-4 and have tried many other headphones to pair with it but have not found a true companion. I do have the LCD X and the Koss ESP 95 but they get very little listening time. Some that I have owned were: Hifiman HE 1000 v1andv2; HE-500; Quad era1; LCD MX-4 and 3; ZMF Aeolus and Focal Clear. I have not listened to the Abyss because Im afraid I might like them 
…really though I have heard they are quite finicky with fitting and not a fan of their looks or ergonomics…so hoping the HEDDphone does the job.

I remember listening to the HEDDphone at Munich Hi-End last year, but they left me unimpressed. Probably it was because of all the noise on the showfloor that prevented me from listening to the headphones properly. You guys now got me really interested in them, I would really love to get to hear them in a more silent environment. @Torq, please give us your impressions as soon as you get your pair!

The HEDDphone at Munich was also one of the earliest pre-production units. I believe at that point it also weighed over 900 grams.
It’s gone through a few revisions since then for the better!

Yeahh the booth was very loud, though how crazy fast the prototype was - this was the main thing, I’ve been remembering the last months

I just wanted to clarify a few things regarding cable length and cup size:
This has also been posted to head-fi.
The cable is approximately 2.2m long (roughly 7.2ft). It does use the standard mini XLR connectors pictured.
The cup length is approximately 11cm for the outside, and roughly 6.5cm on the inside, depending on where you take the measurement (you could push the pads further on the inside so it would measure longer).
Also I now have a tape measure… for measuring headphones. You thought frequency response was all there was! Real objectivists use tape measures.

Crap. You measured it.
Now you have to get a new Heddphone. Further comparisons with that unit can no longer be considered valid. Once you measure something, you change it. Just ask Heisenberg. He knows.
