Thoughts:

  • Fairly neutral for the overall tonal balance, with a couple of quirks or ‘flare’ in the lower treble.
  • Sounds reasonably detailed, if maybe not quite as good as some of the best at that price tag.
  • What stands out is the sense of ‘note weight’ or ‘physicality’, whatever we want to call that quality. Also the treble has a crisp quality to it, likely due to the slight boost and quirkiness in a couple of places. It works great for well recorded music IMO.
