Problem with Meze balanced cable Denon AH-D5200

Hi

I just bought the Meze 99 upgrade balanced 2.5mm cable to replace my standard cable. I want a shorter cable as well as the possibility to connect to a balanced amp at some point.

To connect with my DF Cobalt 3.5mm input I got a 2.5mm - 3.5mm stereo adapter. I know I will not get the balanced sound.

Unfortunately there is only sound in one side of my headphones. Have I done something wrong?

I would check to see if the problem exists in the adapter by plugging it in to another source, like the headphone output on your computer/laptop or phone.

If you have a multimeter, you can just test the continuity on the cable itself.
