Sennheiser Momentum 4 Wireless Headphones - Official Discussion Thread

Well you’re here. On a headphone forum.

Hi, everyone! I have just purchased the Sennheim Momentum 4 based on Consumer Reports and the price. I am brand new to wireless headphones of any kind, so apologies in advance for my stupid questions.

  1. I assume I am to remove the paper stuck to the outside of the ear pieces? The paper has instructions on them, so I am hesitant to so so at this time.

  2. I bought these to use as an ANC headset. Right now I don’t care about any other function. This is for my wife.

    • Last night she tried them for the first time. I think I engaged the ANC, and she started to drift off. Just before she fell asleep she was awoken with a loud alert of some sort.
What the what? How do I turn OFF any alerts while in ANC mode?

Thanks In Advance,
Olan

According to the manual Sennheiser calls these voice prompts/sound signals.

You can turn them off in the app.

Also, in general the way to set things up is to set your playback device (ie phone) to the highest volume which allows the headphone to be set to a lower volume. This might cause the voice prompts the headphone makes to be at a lower volume. You will have to test this.

I coulnd;t find anything in the manual about setting the prompt volume separately.

Probably the only guaranteed solution is to turn the prompts off.

I kept the paper with instructions on mine.
If you’re connected to your phone, and the phone rings, or you get a message. ALERT! This can be re-routed in settings to go through phone speaker. iPhone settings, not Sennheiser. I don’t know about Android.
