I have both the Zen Blue and the Zen DAC on loan from iFi Audio. I will do full reviews of them shortly on my YT channel.
The Zen Blue being a BT input only DAC is an interesting device for me as I do not use BT much in my office. The Zen Blue does a good job as a DAC, has a slightly warm tilt to the sound that provides a very musical flavor to the details. You won’t be lacking for quality in the sound. More to come later on as I am still in the process of testing it all out. Thanks for asking.

Thanks in advance!! I want the zen blue to couple it to my speaker’s amp and avoid connecting mi Ifi micro BL and my phone or laptop.

When @raindownthunda went all Alice and wonderland on tubes without having built his BHC yet…he granted me the joy of listening to all his newly acquired toys…sorry for the messy desk, still trying to figure out best location for my “office”
Anyhow…so far this is pretty fun…two warming up and listening/testing to make sure they work down…16 to go…

This is actually a rather late post, as the box in question showed up just before Thanksgiving, and I hadn’t had a chance to do anything with it …
The eagle eyed will get a hint there … though I was surprised about the size of the thing until I took a look inside …
Though it really needs some pictures in a proper setting, and in lower light, to do it justice, here’s a quick-and-dirty, just-got-it-running snap …
But even in raw daylight, the tubes have a nice, warm, and visible, glow to them!

Better than the Green glow that McIntosh insist on …
I’d much rather they let the tubes glow their natural orange, and flip on the green illumination when they clip.

The mc2152 gave the option of green or blue, but I agree about orange. It’s that warm, incandescent glow. Part of the tube experience I imagine.
Will that be a production unit/finish?

Well, the non-purple one is a custom wooden base (cost option). As @TylersEclectic says, the stock finish is black (and looks awesome too).
Hopefully it’s obvious the purple is just me screwing around with the Selective Color option in Photoshop to tease @TylersEclectic …
