ZMF Headphones - Official Thread

I would say this is on point, 100%. Matches my preferences for Verite and Aeolus. On Aeolus I actually use the Auteur perforated suede pads instead of the universe version, there is just a subtle difference in stage but pretty much sounds the same.

Edit: on Verite Closed I’m using BE2.

@ProfFalkin @antdroid, Thanks guys. I’m actually going to use the ZMF pads for my Lawton mod. I think I’ll end up trying a few, but I’m thinking to go with the Auteur Lambskins, or possibly the Ori Lambskins.

I’m leaning towards the Auteur.

One thing I noticed with stock th-x00 and the Teak is that the thinner the pad, the better the sound. No clue if that holds true with Lawton mods. If it does, universe and Auteur pads would be the way to go. Ori and Eikon pads are thicker.

Thinner being opening?

That’s what I was thinking. :+1:t4:

Thinner as in thickness, or distance from driver to ear.

Oh, okay. Like the stock TH900 pads.

I was thinking the size of the opening as well.

It has a bit to do with it, sure. I think the th900 pads are super bright for treble, so maybe don’t go too big.

I wonder if at CanJam NY I’ll be able to find some ZMF, specially Aeolus. Base on your comments plus others member experience, I think I’ll love them.

You can usually buy when you get there, but if you prepay, you can skip the registration lines. Cost is the same either way.

No, you can buy on the show floor! But I think it is pricier by $5-$10 I recall? But they aren’t super expensive tickets to begin with lol

Edit: I stand corrected thank you @ProfFalkin
