ZMF Headphones - Official Thread

Nice!.. :+1:t4:

What hardware colour?

I have those with stainless rods and grills. So good.

The Silkwood has this 3D shimmer effect in real life, very nice

The silver grills look soooooo nice. The black damping material makes for a striking contrast. I agonized over the decision between silver and black, and ended up chickening out and choosing the more conservative choice of all black

Well boomer, I made an observation, not a distress signal, so I don’t need patience.

Zzzzzzzzzzing

Observing something not positive will, for the rest of time, be taken as complaining to many who hear it.

I wonder what the next ZMF headphones will be.

Let’s speculate. I say a more entry level Be infused something.

They don’t update those spreadsheets much. Especially during busy periods like ZMF November. Expect 4-8 weeks. Worth the wait though.

I doubt this year will have a lot of variation or innovation of new products. Considering the economy, go with what you know and what you can get supplied.

I like my college football, but not a Boomer Sooner. I too was making an observation, so we are both waiting and looking.

And I am not a grasshopper.

Apologies, was quoting a movie. So which ZMF did you order? I ordered the Verite Open in silk wood.

No problem.
Nice choice - if I had that kind of money allocated for HP’s, I would have got the VC. But I ordered a pair of Eikon in Blackwood, to match my Aeolus in Blackwood.

So an open and a closed ZMF, they will match each other quite nice.

Those Blackwood HP’s look amazing, did not know they still had that wood available to order. It was definitely a toss up between the closed vs. open. I wanted an open back as I don’t have one currently, resale value is great on any ZMF I’ve browsed on the used market, might upgrade to the closed one day.

Zach told me about a set he had left for the Eikon, when I got the Aoelus and saved it for me. He apparently has some wood types left and if you ask he might dig something out. But some are B-stock due to flaws and some are too messed up to be used.

My two ZMF cans are keepers, they will never leave :sunglasses: (If your head is not too big, I can rec the suede head strap - best feeling ever)

That is a beauty, dig the rose gold grill hardware! Thanks for the trip on the suede head strap, will see how the fit feels once I get mine.

Let us refrain from name calling here please… ā€œBoomerā€ is rather offensive to some… I see you both resolved it in the end, but, maybe a little more patience and thought before typing? It’s one of the perks of interacting this way, you can usually stop yourself from regretful things by rereading and consideration, before posting…

This was very mild mannered so not a huge deal, but wanted to remind everyone this is a ā€œsafeā€& ā€œfunā€ place for people to engage in discussion…I’m not opposed to fun chiding or ribbing/poking fun…I partake in my fair share of Tom-foolery, but let’s do our best to keep it fun and not in anger.

that is all, carry on and have fun!

it’s also widely known that ants are cooler than grasshoppers anyway.

The patience for ZMF is really worth the wait, but yea it’s a struggle… the anxiousness is tough.

It’s ā€œMumā€ idiot.

Oh, refrain from insult

@Gordon_Freeman Is that head strap padded too? I have the normal leather but that looks nice…

It is suede with almost as much padding as the leather strap on top; and it is really comfortable, it is for me a better solution than leather.

Linky? Is it the pilot pad?

I actually don’t know… When buying you can choose a ā€œSuede paddedā€ headstrap and that is the one I got.
