ZMF Vérité C - Closed-Back Dynamic Headphone - Official Thread

Who’s waiting for those stabilized b stocks in November?!

This is supposedly identical to the regular gjallahorn, not the jm edition.

How do you like it? (Might need to take this conversation somewhere else )

I’m trying to decide between the base Sapele and Olive LTD. I like the fact you could see the cups on the Stabilized. Wish the other models had this option.

Seen one chunk of sapele, seen it all. It’s party trick is chatoyance, not grain.

In the spirit of community and immediate gratification, I may be willing to part with my ZMF Verite Closed Camphor Burl. I don’t otherwise intend to list these for sale at this juncture. Private message me if interested. I very much enjoy these, but am considering going in a different direction in the near term (I have less of a need/desire for closed back these days). I may very well return to the VC in the future.

Great co-pilot photo too.

My understanding was that while the Gjallarhorn and the HP-2 use the same horn-loaded design and driver, the actual tuning is quite different. Someone correct me if I’m wrong, but the HP-2 is meant to be quite neutral, right? The Gjallarhorn has a dark, warm-leaning and incredibly impactful signature. It’s crazy dynamic and really wide for a semi-closed headphone. I love it.

In the spirit of keeping things on-topic, I went ahead and put an order in for the olive wood VC. By the time I added a Katalox Salire and an upgraded cable it came out to not much more than the price of one of the stabilised sets, and I do think the olive wood looks really beautiful. I’m not a cable believer, but I think that some of the custom ZMF cables look great, and I love their new proprietary connectors.

I wonder how people get these ordered so fast, do they have an app?

I’m sure a few people have a BOT software in use

Let me know how you like them. I had the HP1’s and loved them.
I was going to get the 2 for my office since I need closed back, but the Elegia’s were too good a deal to pass up.

@zach915m should consider selling these by lottery. That would give everyone a chance, which isn’t really the case now.

Nope. The jm edition is the neutral one. Hp-2 should be 100% gjallahorn standard. The guy who created the mod was apparently a pro sound guy and needed neutrality. You could do the mod to the hp-2 as well.

I stand corrected.

Did anyone on here manage to score one of the Limited VCs? I’d love to know who managed to get what - congratulations are in order.

I managed to buy the Coccinati.

I knew exactly which one I wanted, was at my (desktop) PC 2 minutes prior to the sale with the mouse already on the ‘Add to cart’ button and logged in. I did a practice run as to which buttons to press. All of my details were already saved via PayPal. Located in NYC with 1gbit fiber. Hit F5 on my keyboard obsessively and hit the ‘Add to cart’ the second it wasn’t greyed out then hit as quickly as possible all the way. No bots or anything like that just preparation and luck.

Very nice, congrats! That’s definitely the one I would have been after had I been trying to snag one this time. Can’t wait to see pics, please share some when you get it.

Not your first radio. Congrats. It was the fiber.

I did end up snagging the Cicatrix which was my first pick out of the lot.

Hi,
I am a newly addicted to the ZMF VC and I am thinking about buying one. My Gear is the Lotoo PAW touch Gold Titanium. Would the VC work well with the Lotoo Ti? Has the Lotoo enought power for the VC?
Thank you for your reply in advance
