Good point on the cables. I use a good quality after-market balanced cable on my Anandas.
There are some dealers like The Music Room who sell lightly used gear, can ship internationally, and have a return policy. International shipping may eat up a chunk of the potential savings, but at least you would have some sort of “out.” And, of course, you might wait awhile for the 800S to be available.
