Best music for working from home

Aloha Metallica fans. Sometimes their songs kick in when playing general hard rock playlists.

I have a specific question though. Is it just me or that “Black Album” was mixed/mastered too bright, even when listened through a HD600/6XX for instance? I find this album impossible to be listened in my Beyers cans (DT 770 PRO 250ohm). No EQ used.

Cheers.

Any album in particular? I like me some piano jazz here and there.

I just discovered the album “It’s Only Us,” by Monophonics (recommended by the excellent record store, Rough Trade). It’s great, classic soul - but brand new! The album is consistently good and works as well for dedicated listening as it does in the background, if you’re doing light work that doesn’t demand much concentration.

Haven’t had the issue personally! But I’m not sensitive to treble really either.

Asked what they’d been playing at my local coffee shop (Zumbar - best Americano in the country in my opinion) just before the closings started, it was Bambara radio on Spotify - opens up a whole world of dark indie music - bambara, iceage (not the metal band ice age!) etc. Worth checking out.

You can always find the music on spotify, then listen on qobuz or tidal!

WHAT! NOBODY TOLD ME THIS :stuck_out_tongue:

I listen to Spotify in the car and from a few connected devices around the house, and in the background whem I’m gaming (as it works).

Then Tidal for music, as it takes exclusive control of DAC can’t use when gaming.
