I’ve never modified a single thing in my audio journey, but I have wanted to modify my DT880-600 to accept balanced. I haven’t had a need for it because I have an A70 and A-100 to easily drive them. But I haven’t been able to listen to them on tubes. I recently got a balanced tube amplifier and while I don’t understand if there is any difference in it between the 1/4” and XLR, I want to put it on balanced. So I ordered a pair of 4-pin mini-XLR sockets and plug’s. I saw someone talking about this recently and they mentioned needing positive and ground for each driver so I YT the process and the one I saw was only doing SE mini XLR plug…. But I saw 5 wires on the left cup.
Can anyone explain to me which wires I need to achieve a balanced connection?
