I have used Markertek several times in the past for custom microphone and TRS instrument cables with Canare Star-Quad, great cables that have lasted a long time. Ordered a couple of additional mic cables from them in the last couple of years and the quality is still there and they are timely.
Good Afternoon good people, I was hoping to get some suggestions on a good 1/8” to RCA cable. I had planned on ordering from Ghent, until I saw the current shipping times estimated around 5-6 weeks. I need a solid interconnect for my Chord Mojo to my amplifier, hence the 1/8” to RCA.
They are dirt cheap compared to some of the cables being discussed in this thread, but I thought they were great, meaning they didn’t appear to add or subtract anything from the music coming out of my monitors. I like BJC because they are very transparent about the cables and connectors they use, and I feel like I’m just paying for their labor. If you have Amazon Prime, the total cost may be slightly lower due to the free shipping.
True about Blue Jeans. I have some of their IC’s in balanced (up to 10 feet in length) and SE configurations and digital cables too. I also use their Canare 4S11 speaker cables as my one and only.
Blue jeans cables are amazing. I bought 6 1.5 meter RCA cables a few years back for around 189$.
Beautiful quality. One of my best purchases in audio in terms of value.
Got this off E-bay for 56$ CAN!!!
Build quality is excellent and the cable PERFECT SURFACE COPPER.
Warm and darkside sounding, however it accentuates the mid bass even more
On my Atlas.
Definitely weathered. Certainly not shinny or reflective at all. I love it. Has a great look.
So durable as well. Now I can save the more expensive stock cable from Ken Ball for home listening rather than taking it out in the streets.
Around 6 months I think. I can’t recall exactly. I have quite a few iem cables as I always like to be prepared. Not in use at the moment but it’s there if needed.
Nice. And yes I’m thinking about doing that strategy myself. Wouldn’t mind buying another 2 cables as back up and for home use. Problem is when a cable goes and starts to short on one ear usually means some soldering and a new jack are required. Can’t be bothered to fix something like that not buy the tools for it. I fix enough power cords at my work, so I think in end your approach is great.
Hi all, can anyone recommend a cheap 4 pin XLR female to 1/4 inch male adapter? And is it safe to do this? I seem to recall someone warning against doing a 1/4 inch female to XLR male, but I think that was something to do with connecting an unbalanced cable into a balanced amp. I’d like to do the opposite.
To give you some context, my Focal Stellia arrived today (and sounds wonderful out of the box). The problem is that my Lyr 3 needs a 1/4 inch cable, but the stock 1/4 inch cable is way too short, and the longer stock cable only has an XLR plug. I have just sent an order to arcticcables.com for a replacement, but assuming that takes a couple of weeks or longer, I’d like to temporarily use the longer XLR stock cable while I’m waiting.
