I have thought about comparing the Arya but I don’t have one available :frowning:

Thanks for the comparison video :+1:

I’ve seen other videos comparison between Arya & Ananda which somewhat heavily in favor of Arya (if price is not an issue). There’s one even putting Arya in league of He1000. This have raised my interest in Arya.

Someone please get this man Hifiman Arya!

Just watched the recording. Good stuff.

@metal571, please expect a couple of Pull Requests from me if you move forward with that repo of .peace files (EQ profiles).

I’d be curious to hear a direct comparison between the Arya and Ananda because of the treble differences. I would probably agree that the Arya is technically better but I’m not sure about sonically.

I am really curious about the Aryas as well. I love the Ananda’s one of my favorite all around headphones for multiple genre of music. If the Aryas kept most of that amazing tonality without being too bright and better bass extension I feel like I would want to trade up to them. I know @Resolve did a wonderful direct comparison and ended buying the Arya I believe and has said a few times they are great to have along with say a ZMF VO as a different kind of sound. @antdroid as well bought them, so that says a lot about the Arya. I also know at least one other YouTube reviewer that feels they are his favorite headphone to date. It’s always tough without hearing them, as we all listen to different music some more genres than others and hear slightly different.

I use Arya the most of my headphones (Verite Open, HD600, Fostex TR-X00 Ebony, and all my iems)

Your review has been bouncing around my head for the last few days, To Susvera or Not Susvera,

Then I read Positive Feedback’s review looking at the Utopia, Abyss Phi, and Hifiman Susvara.

Sunday came around I was waiting for Easter Bunny to drop his baskets, just holding out hope he would drop one-off. But just Ralph dropped into despair as he did not see Red Ryder bb gun at Christmas so were my hopes dashed once again.

The story will continue, will our hero prevail or will it just be another greek tragedy. :sob:

I mean, I know which one I’d get, but I also have to recognize that not everyone is me haha. The general consensus is that if you have a crazy stack that costs many thousands of dollars, the AB1266TC and Susvara are the current performance kings. If you don’t have a crazy stack that costs many thousands of dollars, the Utopia is quite a bit easier to drive as a much more ‘normal’ headphone.

@resolve Are the starfields actually quite small, or just smaller than some others?

Ive been considering the Dunu DK2001, given the size, to suit small ears. But cheap is good, though the house to me, looks fairly large…

I remember them being small, from the review
