I am trying to get that last bit of performance out of my system, and I finally got all my gear on stands so nothing is stacked on top of each other. Been doing some serious tube rolling as well, if you can’t tell by all the tubes sitting to the left of my Cocobolo Atticus.

As well as all the tubes you’ve been selling Wes! :joy: :joy: :joy:

LOL! I have definitely been selling almost as many as have been coming in, and it has been a blast trying all these tubes. I am keeping the one’s that synergize well with my gear and preferences and selling the rest. I have rolled so many tubes in my Pendant SE lately, that I have lost count of how many. I have found some really good one’s as a result, and I can’t believe how good they sound.

I’ve been eye balling the RCA 6bqa el84 tubes and I gave your tubes a thought also that you were selling. I’ve also got a box full of tubes. The Decware Taboo uses the same el84 tubes and were designed on the Russian variant of 6P15P-EV

That’s my stile. No surplus, no mess.

If you are looking for warmth then RCA is where it’s at, but if you value transparency more I would look elsewhere.

Amperex are a good middle of the road tube, in that they have some warmth and transparency combined.

I’ve had RCA for several types of tubes in the past and have been pretty happy with them, yes, I like the warmth.

rearranged the studio last night :smile_cat:

Where’d you get those white Shapes?
Are they limited edition or DIY or something else?

It’s a start.

I got them on Craigslist - the seller said he paid extra to Focal to have them made custom

Huh, interesting. Looks cool!

What going with all those knobs are going to produce electronic music?

I’m a recording / mixing engineer :control_knobs:

The 2-channel and “couch headphone experience” has evolved with the recent arrival of the @ampsandsound Nautilus. I was using the FORGE amp previously, but it’s nice to have that same great sound coming out the La Scalas. The FORGE amp I was using is now for sale if anyone wants to snag a mint one at a discount.

We also met a local furniture maker here in Denver called Tactile Audio Furniture and he build us a sweet cabinet to hold all the bits and boxes. Our record collection is small, but it helps with that as well. The owner’s name is Shaun and he’ll build pretty much any type of cabinet you want and ship across the US.
