Thanks! So far, I am very pleased.
Looks like a nice setup with a ton of natural light! Can picture myself doing some very relaxed listening in that chair haha. How are you liking the Ananda?
I do love it! It’s the first planar magnetic I’ve owned, and I am very impressed with the clarity and soundstage. I do EQ a very slight bump up in the 40-120 Hz range to fill out the lower bass. And it pairs very well with the FiiO K9 Pro.
I am… more so each day. Beautiful sound, a very nice balance between the warmth of the AKM dac chip and the THX amp module’s more analytical presentation. Really, the best of both. Bass is solid without being overbearing, and the upper mids and highs are defined without the ‘etching’ that THX is often guilty of. No fatigue at all.
Hello, I’m new on this forum, but have been active on head-fi since I started this hobby 1,5 years ago. This is my current setup
Beautiful Warwick Acoustics Bravura you got there! I’ve heard the Aperio and enjoyed it.
Thanks! Love the Bravura, a noticeable upgrade from the Sonoma, which I also love. Currently saving money to get the Aperio, as I can’t comprehend how anything could be better sounding than the Bravura.
Also see you love HE6, congrats on getting the 4 screw version too! I have both versions as well, actually prefer them to the Susvara, and never going to sell them. What are you using to power them?
As a person who also prefers HE6 to Susvara you and I must be quite alike haha.
For solid state, I am using the Raal PDA-1a amplifier that I bought after demoing with HE-6 at Capital Audio Fest.
For tubes I am using the a&s Mogwai SE.
Both my HE-6s really sing! I say this after demoing many other amps. Namely Hypsos+Oor, GSX mini/mk2, Benchmark AHB2, etc. The only amp I would consider getting is the Bakoon 13R which I absolutely loved listening to but cannot afford without selling some gear.
Work in progress.
iPad running Qobuz connected to Denafrips Pontus II balanced to the Oor/Hypsos and driving the Susvara and LCD-5.
I have a Denafrips Iris DDC on the way and next steps are probably some tubes preamp (really want the Woo Audio WA22) and to start my vinyl journey (probably Fluance 82 or 83?)…
The blindfold is part of the setup obviously.
There’s a shelf for the K9 to the left but the damn headphone cable is too short and every time I was like “omg Meike you have to listen to this!”, we had to swap seats - which was kind of annoying…
And to be fully honest, the Chomsky and Hossenfelder books are part of the setup too… to show off a bit… sry…
(apart from also gettin rid of some heat - I mean - litterally - heat of off the amp)
The current setup
Chromebook into the D10 clone (bought when I actually thought I was buying a D10) through USB and coax to Mojo and optical to the RME although I can also go USB to RME. Couple of budget hybrid amps on the second shelf and a Topping D50S currently not being used as the P50 is driving the DX3 PRO downstairs.
The Lake People G109-S connected to the RME, I love that amp.
Not sure what I plan to do next, pretty happy at the moment but it’s nice to try and save for something so at the moment it’s probably going to be breaking the £1k for a pair of headphones.
You get additional points for showing off books, and the blindfold ![]()

That is a very nice and very clean setup. Speakers?
Love that deck. Basis rarely make it over here to the UK but I heard one about 10 years ago at a hifi show and thought it was excellent.
You have a truly superb system there.
No speakers, i haven’t the space unfortunately. I live in a small block of apartments also so loud listening would be difficult. Headphones only.
Envious of the turntable.
I’ve been looking to get back into analog, but I find it so hard to justify without a 2CH speaker setup and I just don’t have a room I could dedicate to it.
Headphones are just too much about convenience to me to mess with Records when listening.
I heard this combo at CanJam, and it’s fantastic. Beautiful setup!
