I run mine from Burson Stack, Soloist & Composer 3xp, and they do great driving the HE6. I have heard them on speaker taps, but after blowing two pairs of HE6 on speaker amps i wanted to go “safe” with a dedicated headphone amp.
Haven’t really looked at what I call Summit-fi amps, which you have, but the Bakoon 13R really has piqued my interest. Love how small it is, do you think the RME DAC will be a bottleneck for the Bakoon?
There is one for sale in my country right now, but selling some of my gear is possible to get the absolute best for my beloved HE6.

In my experience, yes the RME DAC will bottleneck the Bakoon. The RME DAC has great features don’t get me wrong but I’ll take a bold personal stance here and say it’s been outclassed by many DACs nowadays.
If you can afford to buy a Bakoon 13R I’d recommend it. It’s small form factor is absolutely wonderful and it sounds fabulous. Though, if you’re looking for more of a “detail-seeking neutral amp” then there are other options that may suit that role better.

Thats what I was suspecting. I have tried the RME a few times and absolutely love its features, but that is ultimately why I want it. Guess I will just have to accept that I will never own the RME.
I love the musicality from the Burson, so reading that the Bakoon has a similar sound is why I’m interested.

Tried a few others and ultimately settled on these. It’s same size as a Schiit Jotunheim, 6mm, but the stock SA-1 is a lot more shallow, which I didn’t like.

Can I ask how good are IK iLoud Micros for Zoom meetings and are they suited. I used to have Audioengine A2 and I did not like them at all, they sounded so deep and just not clear.

Great setup. Lots of “bang for the buck” with these components. I have the Feliks Euforia 20th Anniversary amplifier, Schiit Gungnir DAC and Meze Empyrean headphones and the synergy is remarkable.

I see you’re not keeping the Susvara on the Woo Audio stand. Is that on purpose? I’m looking for stands for my LCD-5 and Susvara and not really happy with I’m seeing available…
