the purple is strong in you

hey Tyler, how would you compare the Eddie C. with the Bottlehead C. or your Cayin tubiness?

I find the EC to be a happy medium between the Bottlehead and the Cayin.

It is probably the best deal for a good tube amp right now, outside of building your own Bottlehead

thank you

Have fun with it!

Thanks Paul. Yes I enjoy IEMs for their practicality and low profile mostly for work, random commutes and travelling but the ZMF VC is a strong contender to make me want to try the full size closed headphones for those specific affairs. The size will be the only drawback if I go that route.

I did not think I would add to the collection, but I could not pass up the Master 9, beautiful piece of kit.

How are those Aeolus treating you?

That is a beast of an amp… :flushed: how does it sound with the Aeolus and your other headphones?

Sounds very nice, Aeolus and HD800s really shine, hammering it with the RME, sounds great!! Love the Aeolus, they are HD800’s just closer.

Yes, medium char white oak, I let it sit in the oak a bit long due to moving. I have ice, I’m going to go get some right now!!

My humble beginner’s desktop setup. From the top: Meze 99 Classics, AQ Nightowl Carbon, Hifiman Sundara, HD650s (with C3Audio balanced cable), HD800S (with Moon Audio Black Dragon balanced cable), and Campfire Audio Solaris (in the case). Speakers are Ruark MR1 Mk2, Dac/Amps are Jotunheim, iFi micro iDSD Black Label, Chord Mojo, and AQ Dragonfly Cobalt. I should say that, other than the 650s everything on the desk is less than two months old - I’ve taken to this hobby rather quickly. :open_mouth:

Hello and welcome @dajokr. That’s a wonderful setup. And in such a short time too. I look forward to your participation in the forum. Happy listening.

Thanks!! I’ve already learned a lot from hanging out here for just a short while. Unfortunately, my learning comes with a lighter wallet. Case in point, a new Bifrost 2 is on its way to complement the Jotunheim…

I decided to get rid of the Massdrop THX789 from my chain and see how I like using the RME as a standalone SS and using my WA7 for primary tube listening and I don’t really miss a thing with my current gear.

I decided to make a stand to raise the RME up for easier handling out of acrylic sheet and speaker feets.
