My statement was tongue-in-cheek, but alas… the internet.
Glad dCS came to its senses and that this tawdry episode is over.
Still, the damage is done. I’ll probably never be able to afford a dCS product, but the first word I’ll think of any time I see the brand’s name for a LONG TIME will be “charlatans.”
It takes a long time, hard work and many careful decisions to build a brand. It takes only one stupid decision or action to ruin it.
Reap what you sew …
Hey. Is it true that for an apology peace offering DCS gifted you a Lina Stack?
I hope it is. You kinda went through a bit of a rough time there.
Cheers Cameron.
I’m glad it is over.
No, he had to give it to me to avoid the appearance of impropriety!
If in fact he is gifted with Lina stuffs, here’s a thought. Do not accept, but instead request that dCS donates the retail value of said unit(s) to a charity, one that provides hearing aids to those who cannot afford them for example… just a thought.
That would be a very golden thing to do.
I really like the way you think there.
Oh that is so funny.
@Bookbear and @Nephilim_81: Click the link to dCS in @GoldenSound’s reply above and read their latest statement – they offered the Lina and directly mentioned a potential donation.
All seemed very civil at the Canjam today - though I still avoided the dCS room - @GoldenSound presented an excellent seminar
So now that dCS essentially apologized and withdrew their lawsuit threat, is headphones.com going to resume carrying dCS (which I can’t afford anyway–just curious)?
Good on them! And kudos to GoldenSound for remaining civil but firm throughout all of this brouhaha.
I agree
there shouldn’t be information that can lead to making mistakes etc
