DIY: Headphone Cable Jack (TRS) Replacement (using Vic Firth)

Created a video documenting how to replace headphone cable jack. Vic Firth headphone was used but applies to all headphones (or headphone cables) with TRS jack. Degree of difficulty is high as you’re working with a very small part and will be routing wires through tiny holes (albeit not as bad as threading a needle) but hopefully the guide should give you enough confidence to perform your own repair.

I also cover how to:

  • find pin out of replacement jack
  • find pin out of headphone cable to determine Left, Right & Ground cables
