Like A Version is a long standing segment on our ABC youth/not mainstream radio station, Triple J. Some absolute gems on it. If you have time and love music, just run through this list. Shit is amazing.

I’m catching up from a couple of months ago - @ProfFalkin mentioned the two versions of St. James Infirmary. I’m not sure who the original composer was, but I’m pretty sure King Oliver’s version here counts as a cover, Louis Armstrong having recorded it previously. This is my favorite version. The last 40 seconds or so are among the most wonderful moments in the history of recorded music (just to be slightly hyperbolic):

Love covers! But almost always prefer the original. 
I didn’t even know this was a cover when I first heard it on the Classic Yes album.

Another Simon & Garfunkel cover. I almost like this better than the original. Almost.
