I have no experience with the M1060 but these are still available. My guess would be that the hifiman would probably out perform the M1060 in sound, have an equally crappy build and lose to the M1060 in comfort….just a guess. Worth considering given the sale price. I’m sure somebody here has experience with both and might share their insights.
I think these sound great, especially for the sale price….wouldn’t recommend at full retail ($899) Actually I prefer them to my HE6se v2…wayyy easier to drive and to me they’re more comfortable because they’re much lighter. Take into account Hifimans QC issues but they are covered by warranty and I haven’t had any issue with mine. If you’re looking for inexpensive planar I’d definitely consider this one.
