This is a really interesting approach to generalize some kind of EQ-ing baseline. If the feedbacks are good enough, i really hope to evolve this method much further. I imagine a web tool for this. :sunglasses:
As i see we already have HD800 and HD660 profiles.
So i put a request one of my all time favorite budget headphone: HD25
If it possible the latest and still available 70 Ohm version, please.
Thank You!

Hello! HD25 is… a bit of a tall order. Due to it being an on-ear design, its response is incredibly variable between users and seatings such that my confidence in any equalization profile would be profoundly low. Here’s an example of what the spread of results might be for around 10 seatings or so.

That being said, I’ve still given it a shot for you, but please do bear in mind that you will likely need to make further adjustments to personalize it for you.

Glad to hear it! Let me know if you end up making any adjustments

Thanks @listen_r and i understand your concerns about the pina deformations with on-ear headphones. But after i tried your eq profile, i highly recommended to consider as a starting point to anyone who wants to use this headphone.
I really like the instructions also, how to set the bass and treble level for the personal taste.

Hi, I’d be interested in the latest EQ for my HIFIMANs, the HE-400i (2020) and the ANANDA (non- stealth, non-Nano). PEQ and FBEQ if possible. TIA

I’ll put in some requests for popular headphones I haven’t seen yet in here: Sennheiser HD560S, Hifiman HE400se, Hifiman Sundara.

No idea what FBEQ is, sorry.

Just added a bit more sub bass as I this is something is personal to me.

Just tried tonight your LCD-5 EQ setting you posted here in an earlier post and sounds insanely good to me.

Again, added more bass about double what you recommended for my preference and listened to this track, and it blew me away.

I suggest to anyone who can to try this. Lots of fun and that’s what it’s all about to me.

Yeah, I know, compared to PEQ, FBEQ is like performing plastic surgery on a patient’s face with a saw instead of a scalpel, amirite?

A lot of DAPs, even many released today, only support good-old FBEQ.
