My Susvara get here tomorrow. I am going to drive it as follow:
Optic Source
|
|–=Bifrost2 [X=X]-(XLR Interconnect)-[X=X] iFi iCan Pro [X=X] Susvara.
Later down the road I will look in to getting a different AMP. (Yet to be decided)

Susvaras are here. and for the one hour I been hearing… I been awed. Superb quality and amazing detail. I did notice that my Edition X Custom cable did not work @TylersEclectic. Funny though, My original cable for the Edition X did work… Puzzled.
Listening to:

This Will Destroy You: Tunnel Blanket

@TylersEclectic What a trip of an album! fking astonishing! I just listen to the first song and just the start took me away!
/me gets a cup of nice whiskey…
Time to escape.
Yeah, every time I listen to that track I trip out thinking there is “real” noises around me… the third song is a trip as well as you can hear the singers lips being “wet” and “popping” I don’t know what that is called… lol
I am there! WTF! This is crazy!
INDUS!
nah bruh… Thats called Acid.
I KID I KID!
I was looking behind me when the track started! Wait WTF? /me looks around… HA!
I was going to say don’t take LSD or shrooms while listening… you will think you are on a drug induced “walk-about” in the Australian outback … just ask @BuffaloWing
Haha.
Our population spread is very different. We have basically a major city in each state that holds the vast majority of people, then couple quite small (really, compared) towns, then a heap of small towns scattered on one cost. And FUCKING NOTHING for the rest of our land. So our drugs very much mostly in cities, just due to sheer population spread.
There is a heavy drinking problem through most of the outback though. We have a lot of towns that have more pubs than grocery stores and gas states combined. Or some towns with 5 pubs and no post office.
That. Is. Nuts. I just got done playing Okami remastered on Switch for the last three hours so this was nice. Reminds me In The Wind by Yosi Horikawa.
@Resolve I just got an opportunity to buy a iDAC-6 MKII and iHA-6, What are your thoughts on this stack? Particularly for the Susvara.
Is it worth the price or should I save the money and go bigger?
I think it’s a great option. That amp was made for power hungry planars specifically. Just make sure you’re using the balanced option because the SE outs are kind of useless.
Thanks for your fast reply!
I will continue talking to the owner and entrained the idea.
I am looking for a secondary stack for a new chill station… Or even make this one my primary.
Two more days till mine arrive. So far comparison with power has been HE6se with WA33 so I’m good to go.
Mine came day early really digging the SQ out of them.
Just curious because is been done with other headphones in this thread:
Can I do the same using the Susvaras?
I would like to use the iFi Pro iESL.
Hmm. Is this a typo? iFi Pro iESL is a transformer designed to go between another amplifier and electrostats…
You could plug the Susvara straight into the “Dynamic” (4-pin XLR) output on the Pro iESL with any normal balanced cable for that headphone.
It won’t have enough power to drive them worth a shit, but it’ll work.
You CANNOT put an pin-adapter on the Electrostatic outputs from the iESL to run the Susvara however. The output voltage is WAY too high and there isn’t NEARLY enough current to drive them. All you’re likely to do is damage the traces.
(Hell, I don’t even think the iESL is worth the time or trouble, let alone the price, to drive the electrostatic cans it is designed for).
