Yeah it’s interesting. I actually think between this and the Zen DAC Air, the Zen DAC V2 is actually obsolete.
When the original Zen DAC was released at $129 it was pretty decent value for an AIO but now at $199 there’s a ton of competition there, including within iFi’s own product line.
My friend is planning on getting a sundara as an upgrade to his hd560s and I told him to keep an eye out for when this releases, as he won’t have much budget left over after the headphone purchase. I would consider this myself, but I’m honestly planning for a Schiit x Nitsch Magni Piety from good ol’ CEE TEE if I can. Already have a Motu M2 interface that I can use as a dac.
