I have posted my impressions of the Yaxi pads on these over in the PortaPro thread (the post covers both PP and KSC).

Sometimes I have to bring myself back to earth to find out again and again how good these “basic products” actually are.
Over the years I have invested thousands of euros in hi-fi products .
An amount of money that, in the eyes of most people, could be invested more sensibly.
These people are certainly not entirely wrong, which is why I once again invested in a load of Koss and realized how much I especially like the KSC75.
After 10 minutes of fiddling around to adjust the ear hook, these parts are incredibly comfortable, very easy and practical to use, especially with the Fiio BTR5, for example, and they certainly sound the “most audiophile” in this trio.
I then always use these earphones to make the entry into the audiohile sound world palatable for people around me .
I’ve already succeeded time and again, these people get a Koss earphone as a gift from me and later end up with a Sennheiser HD660S, GRADO, Focal Clear or even higher in the ranking list .
So I usually have one of these parts at home, as I like to use it myself at work.
Good evening everyone!
This might sound absolutely crazy, but I’m wondering if anyone here has experimented with any other pads on the KCS75’s than just Yaxi pads? I broke down and bought the 75’s and they should be here in a few days and I plan on the MMCX mod but I thought this would be a good place to ask if anyone here has thought “could I make Grado G cushions work on these?”.
Thank you in advance.
I have seen others use Sennheiser replacement pads. I think it was the hd 424 pads. They are quite cheap, so that’s a plus.
You could possibly use G Cushions but you would need to do the headband mod first.
Unfortunately, it doesn’t fit in this case, for two reasons, the driver is too small and the headband is too close to the driver.
I didn’t say how much you needed to mod
I’m sure this picture resembles a few people in these forums who had a crazy idea at one time or another!
I prefer the Yaxi pads over these (which have a boosted bass): https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07G862ZRL/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Just found another pad that “claims” to fit.
Thanks for all the replies!
And maybe I can find a way to get those G pads on.
This is my favorite combination of components that has almost anarchic features.
If you go to a hi-fi dealer with this combo and then ask them every now and then why one or the other headphone is several hundred bugs more expensive, they may lose patience because they will find it difficult to counter arguments .
I did the thing:
You know, my Sundaras sound better but I find myself with these on my head so much of the time because they’re just so much lighter, they disappear and they still sound really good.
Mine are the only headphones that are permanently connected to an amp and within arm’s reach on my desk (KSC75’s on desk at home and PortaPro on desk at work).
I have a set of Porta Pros with Yaxi pads by every telephone/workstation that I spend much time using. Gave a pair to my sister who teaches and administrates in a college, and she says she can’t Zoom without them now.
Hey everyone, newbie to the group. I love my ksc-75’s; they sound great, are cheap, and they are comfortable. I would love to find a pair of wireless earbuds that sound as good as the ksc-75’s as the wire sometimes gets in the way. I know they came out with a wireless ksc-35, but I prefer the 75’s.

Here is a review of the KPH30i with comparisons to the KSC75 (and PortaPro), I am not going to type out the reasons again so just click below if you are interested
Got some modded KSC75s. Being able to run then w/ my own cable has been real nice.
