Thanks, everyone, for the warm welcome.

I’ve become very attached to my HD 650 over the past few years - I’ve come to appreciate them better as I’ve grown into the hobby. It’s as though we’ve both been in it together as we’ve moved on to better amps and DACs!

In any case, thank you all for having me.

Greetings to all,

MuseMuff here coming straight in from Montreal. That’s where I live but until recently I was calling Quebec City home, that’s where my daughter and ex reside. I go less and less there though, because I speak english and most people there speak french. I understand french but am not what you would call fully fluent and the accent shows. When I go there now I rent a smallish room… which is perfect for headphone privacy. I am 57, retired and live by myself with a cat. After two divorces I’ve learned my lesson. Can’t blame the ex’s, it’s no fun talking with someone wearing headphones for hours on and that’s just in one sitting. On a good day I could do 3. Learning how to converse and enjoy music simultaneously is how I nurtured a fondness for open-backs.

I’m exaggerating a bit of course

I don’t know if this intro is the place to list equipment we use but here it is just in case. I am both a headphone collector and an headphile I own many, many phones gathered over decades but I only seriously listen to a few and those are Focal Clear, Focal Elear, Hifiman Sundara and on-ear first-generation Senn Momentum for outdoor use. Some will wonder wtf why does he use Clears and Elears at the same time,it’s usually one or the other. Isn’t it? I will explain this odd behaviour later on the forums. I’ll just hint that I have good reason enough.
