Hi All, David from California here. For someone who’s obsessed with music and technology, you’d think I’d have come to this hobby sooner, but for some reason it’s taken my 40 years to get here. If I had to summarize what I’m chasing, to borrow a phrase from Darko I’d say “I’m a pleasure-seeker, not a truth seeker.” Accuracy is important to me, but only to the extent that it doesn’t interfere with my goal of getting lost in the music. I found this community by watching @Resolve, and though I’ve been lurking for a few months, I’m happy to finally introduce myself!

Hi I’m Roy currently living in Singapore/Australia. I love motown, cheesy 80’s rock and pop, blues and am starting to learn to appreciate jazz. I’m more of a music than kit type and am looking to complete my modest endgame 2.2 rig. I do not use headphones but respect the opinions of some of the members here and the civilised way views/knowledge is shared.

Thanks for the welcome; happy to have found this forum. I’m pretty new to the head-fi world, and as such my gear is very modest.
RME ADI-2 DAC fs (1st gen bought over a year ago) and I use it’s headphone amp.
Sony MDR-Z1R. I know, Tyll hates them, but I made a 5-band PEQ that cures their ills 
and I like the Sony House sound (that’s why I also have MDR-1A and MDR-1AM2).
Mobile DACs include NX4 DSD, Monolith THX AAA Portable, and iFi xDSD.
Transports: Oppo 205, LUMIN U1 Mini, and MacBook Pro.

I love the pairing of my amp and the LS50’s. The amp has wonderful slam and through the LS50’s produces a very happy marriage of detailed, well separated soundstage with good depth and extending slightly outside the speakers. I have a reasonably large living/dining room and the dual REL T9i subs compliment the focus of the KEF’s being very fast and tight. To my mind the paring sounds like a fabulous set of full range floorstanders. For my ears (and wallet), my amp/speakers/subs are endgame. Looking now to upgrade the DAC and I’m done as I’m very happy with my turntable.
