New Here? This Is The Spot To Introduce Yourself

Thanks for the welcome guys! I love both the vibe and the content of this site and I’m very glad to be a part of it.
I’m a long time music and gear enthusiast but only got into headphones about two years ago when I began sharing walls for the first time since college. The affliction has hit hard, I’ve probably owned +30 sets with the collection now limited to a dozen.
I’m currently enjoying some new Stax L300’s, Beyer T1.1’s, DT 1990’s, Elears, Sundara’s, HD700’s, HD 6XX’s, Purplehearts, M1060’s, Argon mk3’s, Nighthawk Carbons, Ollo SR4’s, and my 25 y/o Grado 325’s - my first headphone ever.
My electronics are an SMSL SP200 & M500, an Atom, a Darkvoice 336se, an ifi iCan Micro SE, a Loki, and a Stax 252. I run from my DAC to the Loki then to a 1-into-4 splitter to four different amps; the SP200 is using the balanced outs from the DAC. It’s a great way to use multiple phones at once whether sharing or comparing.
If anyone has any questions I’ll gladly share what I can…

YES! A fellow STAX user who also owns the HD-6XX AND Grados. Plus listens to Beethoven’s Pastorale. Welcome! Welcome! Clearly from your pic, though you have no sense of humor at all. I’ve been denying one myself for years.

And welcome to all the other people that I haven’t mentioned by name. It’s been hectic recently.

Welcome to the community!

What is this splitter you’re using?

It’s called a Nobsound Stereo 1-IN-4-OUT RCA Audio Splitter. I tried to add a picture of it but not sure if it will work… I got it from Amazon for about $50 a couple years ago.
Clearly it’s not the purest signal path, but for 99% of my listening I can have 4-5 different headphones playing at comparable levels at the same time. It’s easy enough to take it out of the chain if I want to do some “critical” listening - But honestly I haven’t taken it out in a couple years. It’s really added a lot of fun to the hobby. Plus, when I have company my family & friends all make a beeline to my desk and start listening and swapping 3, 4, 5 at a time.

That’s a great setup, especially so early in your journey. I know how it feels when starting out but it can very quickly become an obsession (in the kindest way possible of course) :slightly_smiling_face:.
