You mean the usb cable between the Cayin and Hugo 2 ? Its a silver dragon moon-audio micro Usb cable…
Sorry for not being precise enough. No, the nice grey cable with the IEM’s. I have never seen that before.
Hah! Pw Audio 1950s
Well I have… but my brain have surpressed it due to the price
I hope it is a darn great cable!
After buying few mid-class cable…I couldn’t resiste to the temptation… If it worth the money…(no) If this is the best pairing cable with my Ciem Legend X yes, no doubt.
Sometimes we need to follow that urge and get something crazy, but fantastic. Great you did it
A couple of portable setups from back in the day, for nostalgia’s sake (both still work perfectly!):
that’s awesome! I wish I still had my sony player
You can still find them on eBay. Not sure they’re worth the money these days, though. Although mine still sounds really good - a bit warm, perhaps, but quite impressive for such a little, consumer device from 20+ years ago. I wish I could find out what the output impedance is.
Its more for the nostalgia. I had the first Sony Mini Disc Player…
That’s a great rig - one that I’d like to save up for (depending, among other things, on how I get along with the Unique Melody MEST, if I can test-drive a pair before too long). And hurrah for Underworld! I very much enjoyed your 4-way shootout, btw. It was a good, fun read, and very informative and useful. Thank you!
Anyone who loves Underworld as a friend of mine The opening track on that album is probably my favorite work by them. And thank-you for the kind words!
Man I was really looking forward to hearing that combo at the meet last month…someday hopefully!
That’s one of the prettiest amps made! If it sounds as good as it looks, it must be quite the experience.
I never realised how big that thing is. Wow.
Looks amazing.
Yeah, will try to get Woo to come to Seattle again once this pandemic is over Will definitely bring this combo for people to hear
Yes. DMP-Z1 is amazing. It has enough power to drive Diana Phi. I have heard the Chord TT2 + MScaler stack next to DMP at CanJam SoCal last year and I prefer DMP. DMP is smooth, insanely smooth.
Now that is a Dream comparison for me.
Love to try both of those side by side. I think for my tastes in sound the Chord stack would win.
