My first DAP with my first IEM.
I just love it!
@Torq Is here!

Is this from the Headphones.com guys? If so I can finally post mine up for sale
Yes it is, No!
LOL.
Ha! It does have quite the ownership…First owner was @Torq, now the less influential me
If you have a case, ill buy it from you … Seriously
I’d like to keep it as one whole package but we’ll see after I post it how long it sits…and I’ll start parting it out
There’s a variety pack by the way, that’s what I got when I first bought the Azla sednas ! Link is here for the regular ones and here for the shorts.
I now have the Sedna shorts as well and I have to say that I prefer those overall. Best would be to buy both, but I know it can get a bit expensive. These eartips are on the bigger side, so maybe try to get ML if you usually wear L.
Thank you so much, I didn’t think of Amazon Japan, that’s a great idea! I very much appreciate the links and the advice about the short ones. Thank you.
I’m okay with the expense if it means finding some tips that would help me identify a potential endgame IEM. I auditioned a dozen candidates at CanJam this past February and was frustrated that I failed to get a good seal with my current collection of tips. The reps for Campfire Audio, Noble, Empire Ears, Jerry Harvey, and 64 Audio, among others, were all very patient, but I felt like a fusspot for not finding the goldilocks tips. Here’s hoping these will do it! Thanks again @Titienne.
Looks really nice, have fun and enjoy it.
What I use now. It’s more portable in the sense that I can take it to the store with me, or out in the back yard (There’s not much you can do in Nova Scotia right now). I bought a pair of Empire Ears Spartan-IV, and was gifted a DP-X1A along with the purchase. I’m very happy that I finally got a DAP that has a built-in PEQ.
How do you find your Dap? I have the XDP-300R and really like it but it’s not without its faults. I can get by with it fine though. I would like to get either a Cayiin N6ii or Fiio M11 pro or iBasso 220 as an upgrade. Though that’s just wishful thinking as my current Dap is fine. Just after better SQ like everyone I suppose. Enjoy.
I hear a lot of good things about the DAP you own, and that it’s pretty similar to DP-X1A in terms of sound quality. I haven’t tried XDP-300R myself to hear the difference, however I can stand behind the DP-X1A. It’s a very clean sounding source, and has no audible noise even with the IEMs in the picture. If what is said is true about XDP-300R being another clean and detailed source, I think you found a good device yourself.
Close friend of mine gave me the DP-X1A when I purchased the EE Spartan-IV off of them. I was already getting a good deal as it’s a 4BA IEM with an included balanced cable. Was asked if I wanted the X1A, I said sure why not. It arrived with the Spartan-IV and I wouldn’t have imagined such a good combination between an IEM and DAP was possible. Responds well to PEQ, and it makes the technical chomps of these shine. Think she’s a keeper. I’ll be using the DP-X1A until the lithium battery croaks for good.
Yes I like the crisp and detailed sound you get from these chipsets. Let’s hope we get a good few more years out of the Daps.
Oooo, now those A12t’s I really like the look of. Great setup.
omg! clean asf!!! 10
Thanks, the look of my A12t are a little divisive among my friends, they either agree that it looks good, or think that I am an odd ball to choose clear face-plates and a solid shell.
Heh, I am cheating for the sake of a nice photo, for this particular pairing, there actually is a 4.4mm female to 2.5mm male converter, since the cable is terminated in 4.4mm.
