The next question is…for those that already have the case…will they provide the option to buy another that is setup for the Jotunheim R? lol…but, seriously! I want this… I guess I could just modify my current one… 
Thought about this, too. Imitation Pelican cases are widely available. As are foam inserts. I haven’t measured the original to see if it could accommodate the SR1a, R, and cable, and power cord, though.

My order is in. Excited. Still pining for a consensus tube amplifier solution – have yet to find a Mcintosh MA352 in the wild, though will be demoing an older Audio Research integrated amp next week – though from the sound of it the Jotunheim R will stack up with TOTL solid state amps.
A couple of people have asked … so just to clarify …
My pending Jotunheim R review was mostly written against the production-qualifier over several weeks of use. I’ve held off from posting it as I wanted to wait for the production version to make sure nothing had audibly changed between the two.
As far as I can tell they are, as expected, identical in sound and performance so now real changes are required there. Now it is just dependent on my finalized SR1a review, as it won’t make a lot of sense without that.
In other words, no, I’m not doing a review based on one day of listening …

Actually had an xa25 arrive today, which in my main system is really in a different league than the benchmark. Been playing with a lot of amps lately and trying to sell any that are not on the top of the heap. It is the first ss amp which i feel is as good as the best tube amps. Enjoying the heck out of it from ref6 into ls3/5a’s!
Pass Labs makes some great sounding amps, that can empty one’s wallet in a jiffy eliminating all that space taking cash.
Yeah, I’m close, 30 miles. The trick is I ordered right after it went up, around 7:45am PST yesterday.
I can’t believe how small this thing is, and the temp on top is very reasonable, 35C in a 70F room.
